WE BELIEVE IN RANDOM ACTS OF AWESOME.
At the heart of “trail magic” is the incredible feeling it is to give. When we can do what we love to do most and support a great organization like Make-A-Wish, we’re all on board!
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of wishes each year for children affected by critical illnesses. Whether they want to meet a favorite athlete, have a skate park in their back yard, or be a park ranger, this organization works hard to plan and pay for these unique wishes. Make-A-Wish does NOT receive federal funding, and only exists because of donors like you and fundraising events like The Trailblaze Challenge.
This 28-MILE ONE DAY hike will take place in Big Bear, California, on the Pacific Crest Trail (two hike dates this year: May 19th and June 2nd). About 150 hikers will be taking to the trail this year with the goal of raising over $400,000 for Make-A-Wish San Diego, to be used to grant wishes to kids right here in our community. Last year’s inaugural event was a great success, and we look to exceed that by far this year! Our team hikers this year are training to take on this 28-mile challenge, while the rest of us will be volunteering as part of the hike support team. We’ll be out there on training hikes and helping out on hike day.
The TrailMagic Team loves the outdoors and helping others experience the life-changing benefits of time spent in nature. We are dedicated to safe and responsible use of these protected natural resources which are for current and future generations to enjoy. Our team provides education, training, and support to adventurers on their journey. And at the heart of it all is the trail magic. Whether it’s a ride to town from the trailhead, a cold beer and some shade on a hot day, or some encouraging words on Mile 25 of a charity hike, A LITTLE MAGIC GOES A LONG WAY!
