Women's Power Pickleball (the "League") and Make-A-Wish South Florida ("MAWSF") recently became partners in raising funds through our pickleball community to benefit children with critical illnesses. I personally have been involved with MAWSF for over 4 years, and have funded 21 amazing wishes. It's NOT about receiving a room makeover or a trip-it IS about making a sick child feel like they are the most special person in the world the day their wish is granted. I also firmly believe that granting a wish brings optimism, and ultimately assists in a child getting better. It's truly amazing what wishes can do. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits and encourages the belief in the impossible.
As we as a community raise funds and MAWSF grants local wishes with those funds, we will keep you all apprised of the children who received wishes and what wishes were granted.
