Welcome to Zelaya's Wish to Give Fundraiser!
My name is Zelaya and I have been battling cancer since I was two. When Hurricane Maria happened, and I saw all the children and their families suffering in Puerto Rico, I knew that I wanted to use my Wish to help them. Using my Wish for anything else didn't make sense. My Wish is to give food, water and toys to the children of Puerto Rico. Here is my letter to Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties:
Dear Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties,
My name is Zelaya and I am 7 yrs old. I haven't been able to go on my Wish yet because my cancer kept coming back. My chemo made it not safe for me to be in places with lots of people. I am doing better after my transplant but it's going to be awhile before I can do anything. I would like to use my Wish now if it is okay. This is what I wish for.
I wish for you to spend the money to help the kids and their families in Puerto Rico. Please help them. Please send them clean water, stuff babies and kids need to stay healthy. That would be my Wish come true.
Thank you so much.
Guess what! Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties is making my Wish come true with the support of World Central Kitchen, founded by Chef José Andrés. Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties is holding a toy drive that runs through Sep. 9! My Wish will help hundreds of children and families in rural areas that still need clean water and food.
Make-A-Wish® grants thousands of unique Wishes each year. I want to make sure every eligible kid gets a Wish. I'm fundraising to help more children and families in need and so more Wish Kids can have their Wishes granted too, just like mine.
Please help by contributing to this fundraiser. Every dollar matters.
Thank you for helping!
