Dearest Friends and Family,
Make-A-Wish is an organization that’s very close to my heart. If you’re not familiar, Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes to local children with critical illnesses. Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, or go on an intergalactic Star Wars set and be a Jedi or hear Yoda speak wisdom. They wish for a day with Mickey or fly on a hot air balloon with their personal heroes, Mom and Dad. These wishes are more than just wishes, these wishes inspire them to imagine a future beyond illness and fight harder to win battles one day at time.
As you know, I myself have been through very difficult times and I know too well on a very real and personal experience the pain, the suffering, the anxieties these children and their families face on a day-to-day basis waiting for a miracle. Fortunately for me, my wish for a miracle came true.
After 7 long months in the hospital, I was blessed with a healthy and fully functioning liver from an organ donor. I would have never lasted that long, but everyday hope was always in my heart. I saw and felt the never ending prayers from friends and family, the constant care of my doctors and my nurses, the overflowing support and cheers from all over the world, along with my strong faith in God I remained mentally strong. Despite everything else weakening, I felt I could win the daily battles and I used all the love and support I received as my inspiration and my fuel to keep going.
The day I left the hospital I promised I would help anyone I could given the chance. This year I am gifted with this great opportunity to help make wishes come true. Would you be so kind and generous to help me raise funds and make at least one child’s dream come true? Together we can make the difference. Together we can cheer on a child to win their battle!
As a 2018 W.I.S.H. (Women Inspiring Strength & Hope) Society Honoree, my goal is to raise enough to grant at least one child’s wish entirely. With your help, it’s possible!
Locally, the Central and Western North Carolina chapter grants more than 385 wishes per year at an average cost of $6,000 per wish, but they can’t do it without help.
There are few experiences more powerful than making a wish come true. Help me give love and hope just as I was given. Let’s raise at least $6,000 and grant a wish by donating $1000 or more or $100 or less or even $10, it’s all up to your capacity :) No amount is too large or too small to make an immediate, direct, and substantial impact in a child’s fight for life during a time of great need!
Should you need any more information, please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 704.621.5270. I am counting on your generosity. Thank you so very much.
With much love and a whole lot of gratitude,
