When you grant a wish, you encourage a child to fight harder, dream big and encourage them to look past their illness toward the future. You recognize what has been taken away from them – their hair, their stamina, their ability to go to school, their health and the opportunity to just be “normal” again.
This holiday season, your support makes a difference.
For 12-year-old Tegenn, her wish to see her favorite musical allowed her to forget about the years she has battled a congenital heart condition and feel like a true VIP for the day. Her wish gave her the opportunity to not worry about her next doctor’s appointment and instead, enjoy a memorable day at the theater with her family.
“Make-A-Wish made me realize that there’s hope. Hope for the future. When things get painful I will remember that life will get better again. It won’t always be this way. I will remind myself - you got to see your favorite musical! You got to meet that cast! If that can happen, then anything and everything is possible in life. The sky's the limit.”- Tegenn
