The purpose of this club is to support our local Make-A-Wish. Our club works to raise $4,400 per year to grant the wish of a child with a critical illness. Students learn how to advertise, fundraise, manage funds, and work together to create events that will raise awareness in the school and the greater community.
The Kids For Wish Kids Club began in the 2015-2016 school year, and we raised $4,000 for Make-A-Wish to send Giana to Disney World. Since then, the club has raised money to grant the wish of Marli, who wished to go to Disney, Kylan, who wished to go on a cruise, and Michael, who wished to go to Hawaii. These wishes are made possible due to the generosity of the Marshall Middle School community.
The club is currently working to help create another life-changing wish for Alyssa, whose wish is to go to Florida's theme parks. Last year, we raised $2,775 toward the $4,400 necessary to fully fund her wish.
