Carrabassett Valley, ME

The Trailblaze Challenge is a 23.4-mile hike where participants can tackle the terrain of the Maine Hut Trail - all in one amazing day! This is a hike, not a race, and caters to all levels, from novice to advanced outdoor enthusiasts.

As well as being an extraordinary physical test, the real challenge is to raise much-needed funds to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses in Maine. Now more than ever, hope is essential. Make-A-Wish is committed to ensuring that no eligible child waits to experience the hope and joy a wish brings.

By supporting the Trailblaze Challenge, you will help Make-A-Wish Maine grant even more wishes this year to our Maine children with critical illnesses.

Soraya, 9

neuromuscular disorder

I wish to go to Hawaii

"Make-A-Wish gave us life. I will tell you that when you are in the weeds and you are looking inward, and all you can do is think about the minute-to-minute medications, the ventilator, the doctors' appointments. You're not looking up. You're not looking at what's important. Make-A-Wish gave us more than just a trip. It gave us a way to live."

Bryce, 10

blood disorder

I wish to have a toy poodle puppy

"For a child that has gone through so much, it's so nice when they get a win. And this was Bryce's win … Because when my son laughs, when my son is happy, we are reminded of the challenge that he's overcome – and I am forever grateful for the contribution and the gift that we received from Make-A-Wish."
