Make-A-Wish is an amazing organization that had given our family the opportunity to take a week-long trip to San Diego as a reprieve after a long, arduous journey that included a diagnosis of Wilms Tumor, 10 hour surgery, 5 radiation treatments, 32 weeks of chemotherapy treatment, countless hospital admissions, and 23 blood transfusions. Skyla was able to go to the San Diego Zoo, Nurtured by Nature (and swim with baby otters!), see seals down at the beach, and play in the sand at Coronado Beach.
This is our way of giving back so that other families can experience that same opportunity that our family was given.
