Make-A-Wish Staff
Welcome!
We as the Make-A-Wish staff have the honor of calling wish granting our job. Day in and day out we get to see the tremendous impact that wishes have on kids. Since our chapters inception in 1984, we've granted over 10,900 wishes including 575 wishes last year to children in our own community. We've granted wishes for puppies, trips to Disney World and Hawaii, a wish for a birthday party and even a wish for a child to spend the day with his best friend. Every wish is unique in its own way and we love getting to bring these wishes to life.
As a staff, we believe that a wish is more than just an experience. We believe that when a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
