What is the Mother’s Day Truck Convoy?
The Mother’s Day Truck Convoy is a Lancaster County tradition that started over 30 years ago. It is a true community event and all are invited. Attendees have the opportunity to see hundreds of beautiful big rigs while enjoy the Convoy Carnival, which includes games, prizes, food trucks, entertainment, the famous Convoy clowns, costume characters and more! At 1:30pm the Convoy officially kicks off and the 26-mile route begins. All are invited to pull up a chair along the route to cheer on our drivers and wish kids. The route can be found HERE.

Can I attend if I am not a driver?
Of course, the event is free for all! Please join us and enjoy the festivities and stay for the heartwarming kick-off of the Truck Convoy.

How did the Mother’s Day Truck Convoy start?
The Mother's Day Truck Convoy began over 30 years ago, when wish kid Matt wished to ride in a big rig truck and talk on the CB radio to his sister Heather. You can read more about the Convoy and this year's event information here

Are Wish Kids riding in trucks this year?
Wish Kids are back! If your child is interested in riding along the 26-mile route with one of our drivers this year, please contact Lori Dietrich at ldietrich@philadesv.wish.org for more details. 

Where can I park?
Free parking will be available in the General Public parking lots at Manheim Pennsylvania Auto Auction. There will be a safe walkway to the Convoy Carnival, there will also be shuttles made available. For those in need of accessible parking, please have your placard visible in your car. You will be directed to the accessible parking area which is located near the main entrance.

How do I make a day of donation?
Please bring your donations to the driver registration table which will be located in the main auction building. Please make sure to include the drivers name on the envelope so that it gets applied to the correct fundraiser. You can also make a general donation to the campaign using cash, check, or credit card. 

What type of Make-A-Wish items will be sold at the Convoy?
There are beautiful Convoy historical books, lip balm, reusable totes, trucker hats, water bottles, t-shirts, drawstring bags, frisbees and cheer gear packs.
 
Is there a rain date?
The event is rain or shine, please come prepared for all types of weather conditions.
 
Is there a day of check-in/registration area?
Yes, proceed to the main auction building where you will find a wish kid registration area and a driver registration area. Signage will be available to help you find what you are looking for.

Are there restroom facilities at the event?
Yes, proceed to the main auction building where you will find restrooms as well as comfort rooms for children with disabilities that need more privacy. 

Are pets allowed at the event?
Service animals and therapy dogs are welcome to attend and must be leashed at all times. Please note that the start of the convoy can be quite load and might not be suitable for all pets. Please check back as we are seeking approval for leased pets to attend.

Will there be food and drink at the event?
A variety of food trucks will be on site selling breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages. No alcoholic beverages will be sold or are permitted on the premises.

What is the fundraising goal of the Convoy Campaign and Event?
The goal is to raise $700,000 to help grant the wish of every eligible child with a critical illness in the Susquehanna Valley. Every donation helps us to get closer to this goal!
