TBCSD COVID-19 Updates
Dear Trailblaze Family,
As the world is impacted by COVID-19 the number of children diagnosed with a critical illness continues to grow and our commitment to granting life-changing wishes has not faltered. We are actively granting wishes that provide daily joy including: gaming systems, backyard makeovers, camping trailers, college scholarships, a wish for a new smile, to be an astronaut, virtual meet & greets with celebrities, and more.
Wishes are waiting. You can help.
We now have over 350 local children involved in the wish process in some way and what they need now is the gift of essential hope. Thank you for helping us bring experiences of hope and joy to waiting wish kids and for sticking with us as we discover new, innovative ways to grant wishes today and into the future.
Any decisions around the Trailblaze Challenge San Diego program are always made with extra care and thoughtful consideration. It is our top priority to keep all Trailblaze Challenge San Diego participants safe. In solidarity with our healthcare partners and out of respect for the immunocompromised children that we serve, our team and all participants will follow all current CDC guidelines and recommendations made by our state and local governments. *We will continue to update this page should any guidelines changes.
Together, we can continue to be a light of hope throughout this time of crisis — and beyond.
The Trailblaze Challenge San Diego has enriched our lives in so many ways. Not only is it the most impactful event in chapter history, it’s also become our family, our support system, our sunshine during dark days. We look forward to continuing our collective impact on children in our community. Here's to many more shared laughs, hugs, high fives, and trail talks to come!
With total gratitude,
Katie and Grace
