TBCSD COVID-19 Updates
January 15, 2021 Update:
It is our top priority to keep all Trailblaze Challenge San Diego participants safe. In solidarity with our healthcare partners and out of respect for the immunocompromised children that we serve, our team and all participants will follow all current CDC guidelines and recommendations made by our state and local governments. *We will continue to update this information as guidelines changes.
Dear Trailblaze Family,
We love the Trailblaze Challenge San Diego (TBCSD) program – and all of you! Any decisions around the program are always made with extra care and thoughtful consideration. As our 2020 hikers roll over into the spring 2021 season, we will continue to follow guidelines provided by our local government and CDC to ensure the health and safety of all participants.
For 2020 recommitted participants, your funds have rolled over and your online fundraising page remains the same. You have worked so hard to train and fundraise over the last 11 months and for that we are forever grateful. If you’re able, we hope you’ll consider a stretch goal beyond $2500. Our work continues as we try to bridge the gap from funds lost due to COVID-19.
We are granting wishes. We now have over 350 local children involved in the wish process in some way and what they need now, more than ever, is the gift of essential hope. Thank you for helping us bring experiences of hope and joy to waiting wish kids and for sticking with us as we discover new and innovating ways to grant wishes today — and into the future.
The Trailblaze Challenge San Diego has enriched our lives in so many ways. Not only is it the most impactful event in chapter history, it’s also become our family, our support system, our sunshine during dark days. We look forward to staying connected and to continuing our collective impact on children in our community. COVID can’t get us down and we look forward to many more shared laughs, hugs, high fives, and trail talks to come.
As always, we wish you good health and happiness.
With total gratitude,
Katie and Grace
