When you grant a wish, you encourage a child to fight harder, dream big and encourage them to look past their illness toward the future. You recognize what has been taken away from them – their hair, their stamina, their ability to go to school, their health and the opportunity to just be a kid again.
Your support makes a difference.
For 6-year-old Abdul, his wish to be a police officer allowed him to forget about the years he battled leukemia and feel like a true hero for the day. His wish gave him the opportunity to not worry about hospital visits and instead, enjoy a memorable day cruising around Anaheim capturing villains.
“This was my first wish experience and I was in awe with the amount of support we had from our local community to make Abdul’s wish possible,” said Gloria Jetter Crockett, President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire.

“It was an absolute honor to be able to create a wish for Abdul. The opportunity to provide Abdul with a special day where he was able to forget the challenges he has faced - to see him smile and just be a kid – was a truly rewarding and remarkable experience. It is a day I will never forget.” - Sergeant Gallacher
Please help us reach our goal of $120,000 this winter. Your contribution will help us get closer to granting 348 wishes for children living in our community.
It takes a community to bring a wish to life. We hope you’ll remember that it’s your compassionate support that creates unforgettable wish experiences for the children we proudly serve.
Wishes are waiting. Thank you.
