ATTENTION: Phoenix Walk For Wishes Postponed to Nov. 4
Make-A-Wish Arizona has made the tough decision to postpone our upcoming Oct. 7 Walk For Wishes to Sunday, Nov. 4 due to weather predictions for thunderstorms this coming weekend. The Sunday, Nov. 4 Phoenix Walk For Wishes will still be a 3K family fun run/walk held at Tempe Marketplace starting at 9 a.m. (registration opens at 8 a.m.) and will still feature the granting of our 6,000th wish ever in Arizona.
While we know that Arizona weather changes considerably day-to-day, we also know that our participants are important to us and can be medically fragile, as is the case of many of our wish kids.
Therefore, we believe it is in the best interest of all our amazing Walk For Wishes teams and supporters to hold out for a day that will not be shared with thunderstorms, flooding, dangerous conditions and winds.
We hope that you can still join us on Sunday, Nov. 4 as together, we walk to support life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
If you have questions or concerns about the change, we encourage you to email firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will contact you this week.
