Welcome to my fundraising page for the 15th Annual Laps with Lou run at Pathfinder K – 8 on June 1st to benefit Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington. I have been a volunteer Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish since January 1996. Nothing in my life has given me more satisfaction or sense of purpose than my affiliation with Make-A-Wish.
Each year, as my birthday approaches, I have a pre-birthday celebration with students, staff, parents and friends by running the number of laps that correspond to my upcoming birthday. This year I will turn 67, so I will run 67 laps, 11.2 miles.
I will be joined by a cast of over 500 who will run all or most of the laps with me and provide encouragement and support the entire way.
The day is not only a celebration of my good health but it is also my favorite day of the year, as the entire Pathfinder community unites to raise money to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
Over the past 14 years the Pathfinder Community has raised over $69,000.
Please help by contributing to this fundraiser. Every dollar matters.
