Welcome to my fundraising page! I started this fundraiser in April 2016 to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. With your help, it's possible.
I have increased my goal to $39,600 for 2019 which will allow me to grant two more wishes for a total of six wishes.
I would like to thank everyone that helped me reach my goal this year (2018) of $27,000 so that the wishes could be granted to Amelia, Ryleigh, and Mischa.
I would like to thank everyone that helped me reach my goal last year (2017) of $6,600 so that the wish could be granted to Aubrey.
For those of you that do not know me My name is Isabella (age 12) and I am raising money for Make-A-Wish ® Wisconsin so that I can become a Wish Sponsor and give the gift of a wish.
I would like to introduce you to Aubrey. Aubrey’s wish is to have a dream vacation at Aulani a Disney Resort on Oahu HI. When Aubrey turned 8, she was in Maui where she learned to surf. She would like to experience that again. She would also like to zipline, swim with dolphins, and go shopping. Her favorite Disney character is Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. Meeting Stitch would be the icing on the cake.
On August 15, 2018, Aubrey was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma a form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Aubrey’s chemotherapy began in earnest, and she has responded wonderfully. We expect Aubrey’s chemo to end in December 2020. It has been a rough seven months since her diagnosis. Her entire life has been put on hold, so to speak. She rarely can attend school and often doesn’t have the energy to do the things she enjoys. She has lost her hair twice and has had some difficulty with walking. Aubrey is especially sensitive to treatment and often has multiple side effects that have delayed therapy and have required additional hospital stays. Her initial course of treatment has had us at the American Family Children’s Hospital 1 to 4 times per week. However, her maintenance phase is coming in June and will give us more freedom as visits to the clinic will be fewer.
Aubrey is the jokester in her family. She is creative with drawing, animation, and storytelling. Aubrey enjoys being with her close friends, camping, and swimming. When she was diagnosed, she was close to testing for her brown belt at Infinity Martial Arts in Sun Prairie. She hopes to go back this summer when her strength returns as she wants to obtain her black belt one day. Even though she hasn’t been attending her classes, she has had a few private lessons with her instructors to keep it fresh in her mind.
