Cruzin for Cancer started in 2007 in support of our nephew, Godson, and Wish-Kid Dustin who battled cancer from 8-years old, until he lost his battle at age 16. For my 50th Birthday I am asking family and friends to donate to Make-A-Wish® Vermont. Cruzin for Cancer helps grant wishes to Vermont children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Since their inception in 1989, they have granted the Wish® of every medically eligible Vermont child. They rely on the generosity of businesses and community members like you to help them achieve this goal.
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness and count on donors like us to help make their wish come true.
