Uintah High School for Wishes!

Kaye!
This year we are lucky to have a Wish-Kid here in the Uintah Basin! Kaye is a loving, smart girl with an amazing story.
Kaye was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at just 3 weeks of age. She has two mutations, one that causes her lungs to fill frequently with mucus and cause difficulties breathing, and another that impacts her body's ability to gain weight. Her first two years of life were very turbulent as her parents had to seek our care in Utah that was not available in their original home in North Dakota. Since establishing care in Utah, Kaye has been on a better treatment plan; however, she struggles with kidney stones and undergoes regular hospital stays for "clean outs," which involve strong antibiotics and breathing treatments for weeks at a time. As of this year, Kaye was able to remove her feeding tube thanks to an advanced medication. Kaye currently takes 11 daily medications, sees 5 specialists, and does 2-4 breathing treatments a day; however, she tries not to let her condition get in the way of living a typical 7th grader's life.
Note to Community: This fundraiser is not limited to high schoolers. Please join us to make wishes come true for kids like Kaye!
