Lilly, age 5, loves yo-yos, adventures, mermaids, and unicorns. Usually an active child, Lilly was recently diagnosed with leukemia. When her doctor wrote a prescription for HOPE and referred her to make-A-Wish Utah, Lilly made her most heartfelt wish... to meet princesses.
Because of local financial support, Make-A-Wish Utah will grant over 250 wishes for Utah kids with critical illnesses this year, kids like Lilly.
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
