This year, 3M is raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses like Julia. Julia is a brilliant and kind-hearted 19-year-old who was diagnosed with a nervous system disorder. She is nonverbal but communicates very eloquently by signing into her mom's hand. She loves to be outside and does races with her dad, where he pushes her wheelchair. She loves swimming, watching Disney movies, and going out to eat with her parents. She gets straight A's at school and is an excellent writer.
Julia's heartfelt wish is to have a shopping spree to buy different accessibility items to give to lower-income schools that don't have the resources for their special education classes. Julia's speech therapist and a former teacher never gave up on her and helped her find the ability to communicate. These significant influences in Julia's life inspired her to dream of helping other kids like herself to have access to resources to help them be more successful in school. Julia has done a lot of research and has put much thought into her wish. She looks forward to giving more kids the tools they need to succeed in school.
It's truly amazing what wishes can do. A wish renews hope, uplifts spirits, and encourages the belief in the impossible.
Make-A-Wish grants thousands of unique wishes each year. A wish begins with hope. And hope begins with you.
Together, we can grant more wishes. Please donate today.
