This week, we are raising money to help grant Mailee's wish to go to Disney World! Mailee was born with gastroschisis. Her medical journey has been far from easy, but her sweet spirit and sassy personality continues to shine through it all. Her life has been full of doctor visits and surgeries, but she continues to improve daily.
Walt Disney World holds magical memories for Mailee. She talks about it constantly, especially about meeting Jessie, Ariel, and all the princesses. Mailee recently visited Disney World during her older brother's Make-A-Wish trip, and she can't wait to go back. For Mailee and her family, visiting Disney World represents more than just a fun vacation—it’s a place to escape the chaos and embrace the joy and magic!
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness, and we count on donors like us to help make their wishes come true.
