The wishes I have been a part of are unique, powerful, and life-changing. Did you know that wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give children with critical illnesses a higher chance of survival? 8 out of 10 kids report that their wish gave them the strength to fight their critical illness and 9 out of 10 medical providers say a wish increases compliance with treatment. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. To put it simply, wishes change lives.
Currently, Make-A-Wish has 63 wishes scheduled for the month of December. As part of the YLB, we are fundraising from December 11-December 31 to raise funds to help make those wishes come true. We believe that the hope and joy of a wish is the most valuable gift you can give.
