I joined the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana team in October. Since then I have been able too see the mission up close and personal many times. The wish children and their families are truly remarkable! Seeing our team make wishes come true everyday has been such a joy and really gives me a sense of greater purpose!
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness and count on donors like us to help make their wish come true. Our chapter has over 1,100 wishes for children with critical illnesses waiting to be granted. Anything helps and will go a long way toward helping us grant more wishes!
