Group 2 is proudly teaming up with Make-A-Wish to help make a kid's wish come true!
Our group has the privilege to work with a strong, young 9 year old boy named Ean, who is fighting off the challenges of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which is one of the most severe forms of inherited muscular dystrophies. What might his wish be? His biggest dream is to take an exciting journey across all of Disney!
Ean waits in anticipation as he dreams to go to Disney and share his journey along with his family, to make it a once in a lifetime experience. From his own words he said he's very excited to ride all the rides with his family, he would love to meet Mickey, go venture through Star Wars Land, and to meet with his favorite Marvel characters, Captain America and Spider Man. This dream of his will make a huge impact in a young boy's life so being able to accomplish this goal for Ean will be a dream come true!
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
