I participate in the Make-A-Wish committee, and I especially help with fundraising for this organization. My belief in giving back is aligned with my desire to support local children with serious illnesses in fulfilling their wishes.
I've spent my entire life being involved in the Fort Lauderdale community, and I've taken part in a number of charitable events and fundraisers for friends and family as well as charity walks and beach clean-ups. I'm am now dedicating my energy into a more involved and significant role on the Make-A-Wish committee .
My motivation to join this committee stems from a personal connection to the cause. A childhood friend of mine battles a rare critical illness, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Witnessing the joy she experienced during a family trip to Disney World, where she was treated like a princess, left a great impact on my life. I am inspired to help other children with critical illnesses create similarly cherished memories through fulfilling their wishes.
My focus within the committee will be on fundraising initiatives. I will organize and execute hopefully successful fundraising campaigns. By the skills gained from participating and observing charity walks and beach cleanups. I will contribute substantially to the financial resources needed to make these wishes a reality.
I love that I am now a part of this Youth Leadership Committee from Make a Wish to help develop and implement effective fundraising strategies. Together, we can ensure that every child facing a critical illness in our community has the opportunity to experience the joy and magic of their heartfelt wishes coming true. I hope to make a meaningful impact and contribution by fundraising to help the success of the Make-A-Wish committee's mission.
