Gaby, quien cumplirá 11 años en octubre, fue diagnosticada con leucemia linfoblástica aguda tipo B el 20 de diciembre de 2023. Su familia tuvo que abandonar Ecuador para que pudiera recibir la atención médica que necesitaba. Gracias a su determinación, llegaron a los Estados Unidos el 28 de diciembre, donde Gaby comenzó el tratamiento inmediatamente en el Hospital Infantil de Nicklaus. Después de vivir en el hospital por tres semanas, encontraron un lugar para quedarse, y Gaby continúa su tratamiento hoy. A pesar de los desafíos, Gaby cree que con el amor y el apoyo de su familia, ella puede superar cualquier cosa. Su deseo más querido es tener un perrito para acompañarla en su viaje por el cáncer y más allá.

After living in the hospital for three weeks, they found a place to stay, and Gaby continues her treatment today. Despite the challenges, Gaby believes that with love and the support of her family, she can overcome anything. Her dearest wish is to have a poodle puppy to accompany her on her cancer journey and beyond.
