As you may know, Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish is Chi Omegas philanthropy and this year we are celebrating our 20 year partnership with Make-A-Wish. Since the partnership began in 2002, nationally Chi Omega has raised over 30.3 million and granted 2,711 wishes, about 135 wishes a year!
Over the years Chi Omega Epsilon Lambda, the Furman Chi Omegas, have helped grant many wishes to critically-ill South Carolina children. Now, more than ever, Make-A-Wish South Carolina needs our support! Due to the postponements related to the pandemic, more kids than ever are waiting for their wishes to be granted. In South Carolina, 478 children are waiting for their wishes to be granted.
In honor of the Chi Omegas granting 135 wishes each year, our goal this spring is for each girl in our chapter to raise a minimum of $135. If we each do this, our chapter will raise $13,770 this semester to grant wishes!
The funds we raise help give hope to wish kids and help ensure that they won’t have to wait a single day longer than necessary for their life-changing wish to come true.
