Welcome!
As you may know, I am an honoree for Make-A-Wish South Carolina’s WISH (Women Inspiring Strength and Hope) Society. As such, I’ve accepted the challenge to raise $7,500- the average cost of a wish in South Carolina.
A wish plays a vital role in a child’s treatment, serves as encouragement to the family during the child’s difficult medical journey and provides a source of inspiration for thousands of people across the state. A wish turns fear into courage, worry into hope and it recharges the fighting spirit in children. Just as medicine can heal the body, a wish experience can heal the spirit.
Right now, more than 400 children with critical illnesses in South Carolina are waiting for a wish. These children have endured countless appointments, hospital stays and medical treatments. Wish kids often face isolation and vulnerability from their traumatic diagnosis. Now, especially during this time of year, they are in need of hope- hope that a wish can restore.
In March of 2023, my son King was granted his wish. He choose Disney World in Orlando, Flordia. King was accompanied by his immediate family, mom, dad & his two brothers all flew to Orlando and enjoyed 6 days and 5 nights of enjoyable family time. It was time that we really needed as a family. In July of 2020, King was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma stage 4 cancer and King was hospitalized most of 2020 and 2021. King spent weeks at a time away from his dad and siblings. This trip was exactly what we needed to rebuild our bond and to make meaningful memories.
Please consider joining me in making wishes come true by making a year-end gift to my efforts. Donations may be made by visiting my fundraising page at: https://secure2.wish.org/site/TR/WishYourWay/Make-A-WishSouthCarolina?px=8935602&pg=personal&fr_id=5632
Wishes really do change lives! Thank you in advance for making wishes come true!
