My name is Lizzie, a 21-year-old from Corvallis, and I am a Make-A-Wish Oregon Alum!
I started as a Wish Ambassador in 2021, and I still work to spread the hope, strength and joy that a wish provides to other local kids and families. My wish was granted to go to England to see the Harry Potter Tour. Now, I am wishing it forward to more kids in our community.
I am excited to wish-it-forward because of how much my wish affected me. The whole experience and all the wonderful people who helped me get there, it filled needs I didn't even know I had. I want to help kids for them to feel as amazing as I felt. The magical trip to London was the first time I felt like I wasn't a cancer kid. It gave me normality and was a wonderful experience. Now, I am celebrating 5-years cancer free!
Today, I am asking you to support me by donating, so more local kids with critical illnesses can have their wishes granted and lives changed forever.
Through the Sandpiper Project, we’re making quilts and receiving quilts from all over the world to make a difference. Because of your generosity, we've raised $25,000 and counting since 2021 to make more wishes come true! When you purchase a quilt or make a donation, you are making a huge difference.
With your donation to Make-A-Wish Oregon, YOU will spread hope to hundreds of local children who are waiting for their wish to come true. Kids just like me. Kids who in addition to battling a critical illness like cancer or heart disease deserve to dream big and feel the happiness and joy a wish can bring.
Let’s show other wish kids like me what can happen when a group of caring people rally around them to make dreams come true. Donate to my page in support of local life-changing wishes, like mine.
A wish begins with hope, and hope begins with you. Together, we can grant more wishes.
Thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Wish Alum Lizzie
