Dear friends, family and community members,
My name is Peyton, an 11-year-old from Battle Ground, and I am a 2025 Make-A-Wish Oregon Wish Ambassador!
As a Wish Ambassador, it is my job to spread the life-changing hope, strength and joy that a wish provides to other local kids and families.
I want to help other wish kids feel special and have a memorable experience.
My wish was to meet a capybara. I’ve wanted to pet a capybara ever since I saw them on a tv show about a rescue. I find them fascinating and have been researching and learning about them since 2020.
The moment I entered a special one-on-one meet and greet with capybaras, I was so excited and amazed! The fur on each animal felt like petting a pine tree and it was awesome. They were very friendly and loved being pet. I’ll never forget spending time with them.
My wish made me feel normal. It made me feel like my respiratory disorder doesn’t always have to weigh me down on an emotional scale. It made me feel special.
Today, I’m asking you to support me with a donation so more kids with critical illnesses can keep wishing. Wishes help kids like me dream big without worrying about how their medical issues might limit them or whether their family has the ability to fulfill that wish on their own.
Will you please help me make a difference in our community?
Let’s show other kids in our community what can happen when a group of caring people rally around them to make dreams come true.
Together, we can provide so much hope!
Sincerely,
Wish Ambassador Peyton
