Dear friends, family and community members,
My name is Rowan, a 4-year-old from Salem, and I am a 2025 Make-A-Wish Oregon Wish Ambassador!
As a Wish Ambassador, it is my job to spread the life-changing hope, strength and joy that a wish provides to other local kids and families.
After battling leukemia, I wished to see and touch cool animals. My family and I took off on an adventure to the San Diego Zoo to do just that! Within minutes of arriving, I got to pet an echidna. I couldn’t stop smiling! It was all part of an exciting behind-the-scenes encounter where I also pet a zebra and even fed some big animals like a giraffe.
As a bonus, my family also explored LEGOLAND® and Sea World. I loved building LEGO creations and picked out a police car and fire truck set. I couldn’t wait to build them back at the hotel and they’re still some of my favorite toys. It was all an amazing trip for me and my family!
I believe wishes are a special way to balance difficult health challenges with moments of extraordinary joy for the whole family.
Today, I’m asking you to open your heart and support me with a donation so more kids with critical illnesses can keep wishing. Kids like me, who are battling a critical illness like cancer or heart disease and deserve to dream big and feel the happiness a wish can bring.
