Dear friends, family and community members,
My name is Connor, an 8-year-old from Salem, and I am a 2025 Make-A-Wish Oregon Wish Ambassador!
As a Wish Ambassador, it is my job to spread the life-changing hope, strength and joy that a wish provides to other local kids and families.
I hope to inspire other kids and help them get through their medical journey.
I was diagnosed with brain cancer in June of 2022. For two summers, I was too sick to experience many of the typical fun activities. In 2024, my wish to visit LEGOLAND® gave me something concrete to look forward to during a difficult treatment path. Having an exciting summer trip on the horizon felt like my family could start a new chapter.
The moment I saw the LEGOLAND hotel, I was nervous, but so excited! There was this giant pool of LEGOs to build with and a big tower in the middle. I also had this awesome opportunity to get up close with several animals at Nurtured by Nature. I even hopped in the water to swim with otters!
My wish experience was like a light at the end of a dark tunnel. I could giggle, smile, and just play like a normal kid. My mom says seeing me run around LEGOLAND, carefree and out of the hospital, “was EVERYTHING.”
Today, I’m asking you to support me with a donation so more kids with critical illnesses can keep wishing. Kids like me, who are battling a critical illness like cancer or heart disease and deserve to dream big and feel the happiness a wish can bring.
Will you please help me make a difference in our community?
Let’s show other kids in our community what can happen when a group of caring people rally around them to make dreams come true.
Together, we can provide so much hope!
Sincerely,
Wish Ambassador Connor
