My name is Ashlyn. I’m a 13-year-old from Sutherlin and I am a 2024 Make-A-Wish Oregon Wish Ambassador!
As a Wish Ambassador, it is my job to spread the life-changing hope, strength, and joy that a wish provides to other local kids and families. I’ve faced the unimaginable during my battle with leukemia and now I want to be a part of making someone else’s wish come true!
My wish was granted in 2018. I really wanted to see mermaids and dolphins, so my family headed to Florida to make it happen! I had the chance to swim with dolphins at Discovery Cove, get a VIP tour of Sea World and meet mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park. I loved swimming with dolphins and mermaids. I remember feeling super happy and excited!
Wishes are important because they helped me not think about being sick. It was special to have time to just relax with my family on the beach.
Today, I’m asking you to support me in donating so we can share that renewed strength with future wish kids. Kids like me, who are battling a critical illness like cancer or heart disease and deserve to dream big and feel the hope a wish can bring.
