When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness and count on donors like us to help make their wish come true.
I look back on what my mother and grandmother went through with cancer and it honestly humbles me everyday I wake up and think about the life I am gifted to live everyday. To see what my parents went through and to know that children have to start their lives off that way breaks my heart. And I really want to do what I can to make sure that these kids know that there are people out there who care about them and who will help give them a fighting chance.
