Hello! My name is Rachel Terhorst and I'm an Advancement Officer for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana located in Northwest Indiana!
Did you know that Make-A-Wish is right here in our community? Since our founding more than 40 years ago, we've granted over 20,000 wishes for local children, but the need for wishes is still great.
On average, we grant more than 80 wishes for northwest Indiana kids each year. Wishes like 6 year old Bryce's wish to go to a dude ranch (pictured here)! However, right now 105 children in northwest Indiana are waiting for a wish.
Our mission is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish is more than just wish granting; it's a global movement of transforming lives through hope, strength, and joy. The promise of a wish come true can open a world of possibilities for a child who spends so much time within four walls of a hospital room. Every child deserves a childhood. Our mission gives a piece of it back.
The average cost of a wish is $10,000 and we need your help to grant the wish of every eligible child. Thank you for helping grant wishes for local children!
