Hi friends, and family,
As some of you might know, I am in the Alpha Lambda chapter for Chi Omega sorority, at Valparaiso University. Our philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and I am asking for your help!
Make-A-Wish is an outstanding foundation that's mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the experience with hope, strength, and joy. The children they serve are desperately fighting for their lives, and their families are doing everything that they can to help them in their battles. Only about 50% of eligible children are able to be granted a wish. We are fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the happiness, relief and renewal a wish can bring.
For the past four years we have been blessed to raise over $8,000, gaining us the "Wish Granting Status" title. This means that we have raised enough money to grant one very special child's wish. Having this status is important to us because it shows the passion and love that these women share for the Make-A-Wish foundation. Our goal as a chapter this year is to raise $14,000 and grant the wish of a lifetime to a very deserving child!
Last spring, our chapter had the opportunity to help sponsor the wish of Gianna, a little girl from our very own Valparaiso! Her wish was granted when she traveled to the Disney World in Orlando Florida!
This year, we have another amazing opportunity to sponsor the wish of a very deserving girl named Celia. Celia is five years old and has Malignant Neoplasm, which results in a cancerous tumor. Despite her illness, Celia radiates positivity and continues to fight everyday. Celia's wish is to go to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and I am so grateful for the ability to help her achieve this.
If you want to be part of this amazing and worthwhile cause, please consider donating, no matter the amount. Anything is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
