We are raising money for Make-A-Wish to help grant wishes for children, like Annalisa, who are battling critical illnesses. No matter the circumstances, every child deserves a childhood. Life-changing wishes wouldn't happen without the power of donors like you. Your support gives children much-needed hope for brighter days ahead.

In July 2021, Christopher & Keri adopted Kamora's shopping spree wish. They realized the power of a wish and invited their members to join in a goal of raising more funds to grant more wishes like Kamora's.

In November 2021, the members of Valley Fitness started raising money to grant another child's wish. And in July 2022, they were able to surprise Annalisa with her trip to Disney World! They even had Cinderella there to give Annalisa the good news! Now the Valley Fitness community is looking to keep raising money and adopt more wishes just like Kamora's and Annalisa's!

Annalisa's Story:

One morning Annalisa woke up feeling very sick. Her family assumed that Annalisa just had a case of the stomach flu, but Annalisa’s grandma noticed that she also had a large lump on her neck. Annalisa was then taken to the hospital to have the abscess drained and examined. She underwent numerous medical tests and was hospitalized from December to New Years. While waiting for her test results, Annalisa began complaining of leg pain, but X-rays showed nothing out of the ordinary. Although when her abnormal blood test results returned, Annalisa was unfortunately diagnosed with Leukemia. 

Annalisa was only in pre-K when she was diagnosed and unlike most little girls her age, she spent most of her days in the children’s hospital to receive treatment. The side effects of Annalisa’s chemotherapy have left her with many learning disabilities such as ADHD and trouble retaining information. She continues to fight every day to overcome these obstacles. As of now Annalisa is a kindergartener and she has finally finished her last round of chemotherapy! Annalisa was so ecstatic and wore a “peace out chemo” shirt as she finally rang that bell and celebrated with her family. Annalisa’s mother says that “Leukemia changed Annalisa’s life forever but she is so excited it’s all over so Annalisa can finally be a kid again!” 

Despite everything Annalisa has been through, she is still full of so much joy! Annalisa’s mother describes her as a “very happy kid that loves being outside.” She also describes how Annalisa has a vivid imagination and likes playing make-believe, as well as talking with an accent. Annalisa especially enjoys dressing up like a “pretty princess” and having pretend tea parties with her favorite doll, Maribel. She also loves watching movies like Frozen and shows like Baby Shark. Annalisa also enjoys reading, especially stories with pictures like the book Peppa Pig. Also, she loves playing with her two dogs and her pet turtle. Although, one of Annalisa’s favorite things to do is to sing and dance to “princess music.”

For her wish, Annalisa knew immediately that she wanted to travel to Orlando and visit her favorite theme park! She can’t wait to meet all the characters, especially all the princesses so she can dance with them. Annalisa is also excited to go on all the rides and to finally see a castle in real life. Annalisa can’t wait to see where the princesses live so she can have a tea party with them! She is also looking forward to having her very own tiara and princess dress that she can twirl in. Annalisa has been through so much over the years and she and her family are so appreciative for the opportunity to fulfill this wish for Annalisa. Annalisa’s mom has expressed her gratitude by saying, “all of you are making my little girls dream come true and I could never thank you enough.” Annalisa and her family are just so excited for her wish and can’t wait for the day that Annalisa’s own fairytale comes true!
