Granting wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions gives them more than an amazing experience. A wish come true has the power to make kids feel stronger, more courageous, and more determined to overcome their illnesses. Many families and healthcare providers believe the wish experience is the turning point in a wish kid's battle against their illness.
After granting my first wish as a volunteer wish granter for Make-A-Wish Northeast New York in 2010, I was inspired by the power of a wish and wanted to do more. I decided I wanted to organize a fundraiser for the local chapter to raise money for granting wishes, and in 2011 I began the Wish Jump fundraiser. I never imagined that it would last eight years, or that more than $200,000 would be raised for granting wishes! The success of Wish Jump would not be possible without the generosity of our donors, many of whom donate year after year. I can't stress just how appreciative I am for all of the Wish Jumpers and donors involved. Please know that wishes DO come true because of you! THANK YOU for your support!
