We're proudly fundraising for Make-A-Wish – will you join us by making a gift today?
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness and count on donors like us to help make their wish come true.
The L.D. Bell Student Council decided to start a Make-A-Wish fundraiser to spread Childhood Cancer awareness on their campus. We've all heard of Homecoming King and Queen, but what about Dutch and Dutchess? By starting a new Homecoming tradition in which nominated staff members would run for the titles, our council plans to raise money for the fundraiser by engaging the entire school in a friendly competition. Both students and staff will be able to cast a vote for every dollar they donate, allowing all to submit as many votes as they'd like. This friendly competition aims to raise as much money as possible while providing a new event everyone can participate in.
On behalf, of the L.D. Bell Student Council, we are incredibly grateful to all who support our monetary goal thus making it possible to bring a smile to a child's face.
