I am fundraising alongside my employer, Headstorm, for Make-A-Wish. Our goal is to raise the funds to grant a wish over the next 4 weeks!
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness and count on donors like us to help make their wish come true.
To help us reach our goal of granting a wish, I have decided to pledge a dollar for every mile I run over the next 4 weeks. I recently registered for a half marathon, so this fundraiser will coincide with my training schedule. My goal is to run at least 75 miles over the duration of this fundraiser! I'd love to encourage anyone who is interested in pledging a dollar (or cent) amount for every mile I run to help us reach our goal. Let me know if you are interested in joining me financially!
