MAKE A WISH
LET'S SEND CHRIS TO SWITZERLAND!!
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to work in a pickle factory, become a superhero, go snorkeling, give their baseball team new uniforms, and push all of the buttons in a tall building's elevator. Their innocence and unexpected wisdom stays with you.
A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic, more willing and able to battle their critical illnesses. For many, the wish marks a turning point in the fight against their illnesses. Doctors, nurses and other health professionals say, the wish experience works in concert with medicine to make their patients feel better emotionally and even physically.
Chris is a 10-year-old who was diagnosed with Stage III T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma in May 2018. He began a 3-year chemotherapy protocol shortly after his diagnosis. Chris has already spent 18 days in the hospital and countless other days in the outpatient clinic. Although the journey is long, we are optimistic that Chris will make a full recovery.
Chris is a tough, brave and kind kid with a great sense of humor! He enjoys Star Wars, Legos, sports, water activities, music and traveling. While Chris primarily cheers on the St. Louis Cardinals he enjoys visiting other MLB stadiums as well. His favorite bands include Coldplay and Imagine Dragons. His favorite vacations so far have been a Caribbean cruise and an adventure to Great Wolf Lodge. When asked about Chris’ journey, his parents said, “We look forward to the Make-A-Wish experience and the ability to look forward to something. It is our hope that on his toughest days he can think about his Wish and that it helps him keep a positive outlook.”
