Last year this group raised $30,000 for Make-A-Wish, topping the previous year’s effort by $10,000. I’d like to see if we can hit $35,000 this year and appreciate your generous considerations. We have been amongst the top fundraisers for “Make-A-Wish KS/MO the last two years.
You will notice that we have added the name “Fuelling” to our fundraiser. As most of you will recall, Josh Allison and Mark Fuelling were partners in last year’s event-and Champions in 2022. Sadly, Mark passed away suddenly on 2/20/23 at the age of 59. Mark was an avid fan of the Bucket, rarely missed an event and well loved by all. Steve asked Shelly if we could re-name the event and she gave her blessing to do so.
When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. The majority of wish kids go on to beat their critical illnesses, and research shows that a wish can help children build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight – giving them a better chance of surviving and thriving.
Every day, 70+ children are diagnosed with a critical illness and count on donors like us to help make their wish come true.
