Thanks for your support!
Pamela (Pam) was born on March 27, 1960, to the late Quenton Walter and Mildred Joyce Cox. She attended Wingfield High School in Jackson, Mississippi. After high school, she attended and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1983, where she made many lifelong friends. If you knew Pam, then you also knew that she was forever proud to be a Bulldog. Pamela was a loving and devoted mother to her two children, Dustin and Amanda. Her children were the
pride and joy of her life, and she dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting them in all their endeavors – often with a side of well-meaning advice. As a grandmother, Pam’s love knew no bounds. She adored her three grandchildren, Swayze, Sutton and Lincoln, she cherished every moment she had with them. Known for her playful spirit, she delighted in spoiling her grandchildren. Pam is also survived by her brother, Harrell and sister, Rachael. Pam and Harrell shared a close bond shaped by their disciplined upbringing under 1st Sargent Quenton Cox. Their childhood was marked by perfectly made beds and punctual schedules. Despite being strict, her father always made sure to pepper in just the right amount of love. Pam’s friends were like siblings to her as well, especially her Tammy, whom some have jokingly said was her life partner. Their strong family ties and laughter-filled
moments created lifelong memories. Pamela had a knack for finding humor in everyday situations, and her infectious laugh could brighten the darkest days. She never met a stranger and had the unique ability to make everyone feel like a friend. Whether she was sharing a funny story or offering a comforting word, Pamela’s presence was a gift to all
who knew her. Pamela's legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A memorial service to celebrate Pamela's life will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home [114 Burney Drive, Flowood, MS 39232], on Saturday, July 13 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that donations be made to Make-A-Wish Mississippi through this site in Pamela's honor.
