Nolan is California Dreamin’ – “I wish to go to California”
We invite you to join CSA in supporting Operation Dream Maker by participating in our CSA Wish Challenge from June 1 through June 30. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of our military and veteran children and their families, providing them with much-needed hope and positivity during difficult times. Your donations will go toward granting Nolans’s wish.
Meet 4-year-old Nolan from Annapolis, Maryland. He is a little adventurer, with an enthusiasm for exploring the world around him. Cancer may try to dim his light, but he continues to remain positive and inspire those around him with his resiliency and playfulness. When he is not in kindergarten class, you can find Nolan chasing after his beloved dog Riley Girl, watching Toy Story, or eating his favorite snack, chocolate chip cookies.
Nolan and his family used to live in Florida, where the beach was his playground. But when his family moved to Annapolis, Maryland, that daily dose of oceanfront joy disappeared. He missed the feel of sand between his toes and the endless horizon that fueled his imagination. Despite missing the beach, Nolan’s love for the water has not wavered. He lights up whenever he is near a boat, and loves all sea creatures, especially whale sharks. It is no wonder then, that when Nolan’s wish granting volunteers met with Nolan and his family to discuss his wish, Nolan wished to go to California where he can spend time at the beach and explore the ocean.
Nolan’s wish trip to California will be a time for Nolan and his parents to spend much needed quality time together, away from hectic days consisting of hospital visits and doctor’s appointments. It is a chance for Nolan to build sandcastles once again, to feel the spray of the ocean on his face, and maybe even come face-to-fin with a majestic whale shark. Nolan and his family will create new memories, filled with laughter, love, and the boundless joy that only the beach can bring.
Help his wish take flight with your help to make a difference in the life of Nolan and his family by donating today.
