Surfing for Sunshine: Ryan’s Wish Trip to Hawaii – “I wish to go to Hawaii”

Meet 12-year-old Ryan from Bethesda, Maryland. He is a force of nature, even when facing the toughest opponent – cancer. Sandwiched between his treatment schedule, Ryan can be found playing lacrosse and basketball with his friends, and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, his favorite football team.
But beyond his competitive spirit, Ryan has a deep love for the beach. He reminisces about a beach trip with his family, where he went surfing. He loved the experience, and yearns to do that again, but this time in Hawaii. Ryan’s wish to go to Hawaii is soon to come true for him and his family. The Hawaiian Islands have always held a special allure for him, and now he will be able to have an adventure in paradise! Ryan cannot wait to test his skills in deep-sea fishing, soak in the vibrant culture at a luau, savor the taste of fresh coconut, and explore the underwater world through snorkeling.
This trip will create lasting memories with his family, and a chance to escape the confines of treatment. With every passing day leading up to his wish, Ryan’s smile grows brighter, fueled by the promise of sunshine, turquoise waters, and the beauty of Hawaii.
