Cooper & Binkley Jewelers is a family owned and operated fine jewelry business, founded in 1949, that focuses on commitment to customer service, community involvement, honesty, professionalism, and beautiful jewelry. Binkley and her husband, Mark, took over ownership from Mark’s father in 1992. As co-owner, she oversees sales and marketing, financial management, and is the buyer for the 74-year-old jewelry store.
Community outreach is a key component to the store and the Binkley family. Cooper & Binkley Jewelers is well known for its give back philosophy. Binkley has served on many boards and committees over the 31 years of store ownership. She is currently serving as Chair of the Livingston County Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and on the Planning Committee of Denim & Diamonds, an annual fundraiser to benefit LACASA – a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing domestic violence in Livingston County.
In 2013, Binkley earned Cleary University’s Bob Lyons Community Leadership Award and the Brighton Women of Distinction Award. She earned the 2022 Woman of the Year award from the Greater Brighton Area Chamber for her community involvement. Cooper & Binkley Jewelers has been named Livingston County’s Best Jewelry Store every year since the year 2000. It was also named Best Jewelry Store in the WDIV Detroit "Vote 4 The Best" contest for 2021 and 2022.
Binkley’s belief in community and giving back are what drives her personal and professional life. She believes that everyone can make a difference. Binkley believes in supporting the community that has supported her store, and that her store should be a good citizen of the community as well.
In her spare time, Binkley loves spending time with her family and traveling. She grows a vegetable garden and loves to cook. She is a dog lover, spending time with her dogs Riley and Franklin, and with her grandpuppies, Bruno, George and Arlo.
