Kelley Kostich is the Chief Nursing Officer for the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. As the CNO, Kelley oversees nursing practice and patient care services within the 228-bed, level I trauma center. The Children’s Hospital of Michigan has an international reputation in pediatric medicine, surgery, and research, training more pediatricians than any other facility in Michigan. Kelley earned a PhD. in Nursing from University of Missouri in Kansas City, Mo., a Master’s degree in Health Care and Nursing Administration from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill., and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.
Kelley is an experienced nurse leader dedicated to advancing the practice of nursing by engaging interdisciplinary stakeholders in strategies to improve patient safety and quality, employee engagement, patient experience, clinical growth, and development. Her expertise, passion and leadership continue to strengthen evidence-based nursing practice, and advance patient care. Kelley has a deep commitment to nursing clinical excellence as well as a personal passion to serve the pediatric community.
Kelley moved to Michigan with her husband, Tyler, son, Brady (8), and Berne doodle, Gloria in the spring of 2021. Brady loves living in Michigan, especially playing hockey. He dreams of being a NHL player when he grows up!
Kelley is a founding member of Make-A-Wish Michigan's W.I.S.H. Society and looks forward to fundraising again this year to help the Michigan chapter grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses in Michigan!
