Manhattan School of Music's Wellness Week

Welcome! Thank you for your willingness to participate in Workout for Wishes on behalf of the Manhattan School of Music community.

In order to participate, it's really simple! Follow these instructions to get started:

1) Sign up with your own individual page and join the Manhattan School of Music Wellness Week fundraising page.

2) Now that you have your page started, it's time to get moving!

Every day during Wellness Week, April 5th - April 9th, you are recommended to partake in a workout that is inspired by Juliana, our Wish-Kid Ambassador, whose wish is to have a college scholarship. Once you are all signed up, more information on this will be sent to you.

3) Share your page to friends & family to spread the word about Make a Wish Foundation's mission, letting them know that you are participating in Workout for Wishes! Any donations you receive on your individual page goes towards the Fundraising Goal for MSM's Wellness Week 2021 to make Wish-Kids like Juliana's wishes come true!

4) Your hard work will be rewarded! The top 3 individuals to raise the most money will receive prizes sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs!

"But I just wanna work out!"

We support it! Let's get to work! :)

Make-A-Wish challenges you to work out in Juliana's honor and raise funds to make more wishes like hers come true.

Juliana endured 2 surgeries, 55 days of treatment, 100+ needle pokes, 50 days in the hospital, 99 rounds of radiation, and 6 sedations. Her workout is inspired by all of these difficult tasks.

**Complete one round of all exercises per day**

- Run/Jog/Power Walk for 7.5 minutes in honor of Juliana's longest surgery which lasted 7.5 hours

- Walk to Recover for 2 minutes in honor of her 2 surgeries

- Do 100 Jumping Jacks for 100+ needle pokes

- Do 6 push ups to shoulder taps (tap opposite hand to opposite shoulder = 1 rep) for her 6 sedations

- Do 50 jumping squats, one for every day Juliana was in the hospital

- Do 99 Crunches, Sit Ups, or Russian Twists for 99 rounds of radiation

The Office of Student Engagement started this fundraiser to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.

No matter the circumstances, every child deserves a childhood. Life-changing wishes wouldn't happen without the power of donors like you. Your support gives children much-needed hope for brighter days ahead.

When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness.

We are fundraising to make more wishes possible. Please help by donating today. Every dollar matters.

Thank you for your participation & support!
