Dear Family & Friends,
Last year through your beautiful generosity we were able to create the wish of a lifetime in memory of my husband Michael Matinale. We were able to sponsor a Disney World trip for 9 year old Long Islander Camden that he enjoyed with his brother and family.
This year, I hope that you’ll again join me and the Make-A-Wish Metro New York chapter to fulfill another life-affirming Wish in Michael’s memory. I hope that you also feel his presence with us as we grant another wish together. We all know that he was such a big kid who loved family, friends and fun. He is definitely enjoying this annual tribute gift in his name. As he loved to say “It’s a beautiful thing!”
Bringing hope now is so important because a wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a critical illness. A wish brings hope, joy, and a caring community to kids when they need it most. A wish gives a child confidence and creates an opportunity for them to experience life beyond illness. Research shows that the promise of a wish being fulfilled can help children build physical and emotional strength, improving their quality of life and giving them a better chance of recovering. Make-A-Wish hears every day from kids who view their wish as a turning point and a celebration of their resilience and strength. Together we will sponsor another special wish for a deserving child.
