I am proudly fundraising for Make-A-Wish and hope you will join me
In January 2016 I went on a vacation that changed my life. My family and I went to Florida and had an unforgettable experience. We stayed at Give Kids the World Village, went to all the theme parks, and made incredible memories. This trip was just what my family needed.
When I was first granted my wish, a million ideas went through my mind about what I would wish for. I knew whatever I chose, it would include my family. I was 16 years old when my wish was granted, but I had been battling critical illnesses since the age of 2. I knew this wish was not only for me, but for my family that was always by my side and deserved a much needed trip. My family and I love Disney, so once my brain stopped scrambling around for other ideas, I chose to wish to go to Disney World!
Make-A-Wish did so much for me that I knew I wanted to stay involved. I now serve on the Wish Community Council where I am able to provide input for Wish family events as well as fundraising initiatives. This also gives me the opportunity to meet other Wish families, volunteers, staff, and MAW supporters. I am incredibly grateful for the work Make-A-Wish does during the Wish process, as well as after the Wish process.
Thank you for reading my story, and for your support!!
